One of the more popular groups to be inducted, A Tribe Called Quest, had fans going crazy. Fellow listener, Colin King, believes that “Tribe Called Quest being inducted into the hall of fame truly solidifies their talent and greatness in music history”, said King.
A Tribe Called Quest, one of the most artistic, electric, and memorable rap groups of the 1990s, created a new alternative hip-hop subgenre with a cross-pollination of hip-hop, alternative-rock, and Jazz. The pioneering group ditched the aggressive sound of the era, diving deeply into the jazz rap evolution. A Tribe Called Quest based their music around more laid-back samples, facing social issues in the black community with new ways of life.
Overall, “their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is crucial for the music industry”, Said King
