Lyndall Insurance and Mimi Vanderhaven are teaming up to sponsor downtown Chagrin Falls’s 9th annual restaurant week from January 30 to February 5.
Lyndall Insurance is an insurance agency in Chagrin Falls that is family owned. Mimi Vanderhaven is an advertising agency, and home to Mimi Magazine, Northeast Ohio’s largest publication. Mimi Vanderhaven is located in Brunswick, Ohio, and focuses primarily on supporting local businesses.
Those who support or plan on attending the event hope to celebrate the restaurants and the Chagrin Valley community.
“I did not know that this was a thing but it sounds really fun. I definitely would want to go to one of the restaurants with my family or friends,” said senior Julia Vanderbilt.
The restaurants included in this year’s event include Sushi Junki, Cowboy Food and Drink, M Italian, Muvel, Paris Room, Pub Frato Chagrin Falls, Batuqui Chagrin Falls, ETalian, Brown Barn, The Welshfield Inn, and Sirna’s. Participating restaurants will offer menus for all pocketbooks, and unique deals and discounts. Regular menus will continue to be served in addition to new items. Restaurants also are offering the option to dine in, curbside pickup, or take out. Those interested are encouraged to book reservations soon.
Senior Riley Myers said, “I love Sushi Junki, it’s one of my favorite restaurants for a variety of reasons. I go a lot with my friends because the workers are really nice and because it’s so close.”
When asked about her favorite menu item, Myers explained that all of the food is good and very different, but her favorite meal would be the salmon maki and edamame.
Moreover, those who attend Restaurant Week can send in any receipt from any of the participating Chagrin Valley Restaurant Week restaurants to [email protected] to be entered into a gift card package. The prize will contain five $50 gift cards from any of the participating restaurants. More information on restaurant week can be found online, at www.chagrinvalleyrestaurantweek.com.
“My favorite restaurant in Chagrin is MItalian for so many reasons,” said senior Ava Latore. “Pasta M is probably my favorite dish but it’s all so good, especially the bread.”
M Italian is a very popular restaurant for students of all ages.
“I like MItalian, and it’s not just because I work there. The food is really good and the environment is also really nice. Just the way they decorate and everything,” said junior Kate McLain.
