To the Senior Class,

Welcome to being a fellow CFHS graduate on behalf of the Chagrin Falls Alumni Association.  You will now join over 10,000 fellow graduates including our first and only graduate from the Class of 1879, Hugh Christian.  Remember no matter where you go, you will always be able to call Chagrin your home.  Best of luck with all of your future endeavors.

Dear Class of 2017,

Even though our journey together ends here, what we have learned will stay with us forever: that’s the beauty of literature.  Take some words of wisdom from our books as you venture out into the world.

“Better to be at the bottom of a ladder you want to climb than in the middle of some ladder you don’t.”  — The Circle by Dave Eggers

“What’s past is prologue.” — The Tempest by William Shakespeare

“Never put off till tomorrow the fun that you can have today.” —Brave New World by Aldous Huxley

“I am fearless, and therefore powerful.” —Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

And last, but certainly not least, perhaps the most impactful quote that YOU love to say: “CAROLINE SACKS!”

Live every day to make the world a better place: I know that you will!

All my best,

            Ms. Serensky

Dear Class of 2017:

Looking back on you as 9th graders sitting in my English class, I remember a lively group with a lot of personality and strong friendships. I recall a lot of “spirited” debates, whether it be if Gene jounced the limb on purpose or if Ralph, Piggy or Simon should be the Lord of the Flies Survivor.  My advice to you is to continue to have those spirited debates in your life and stand up for what you believe in! Many of you have made a lasting impression on me as students and people – You will be missed.  Special shout out to the crew who enjoyed hanging out in my room before school….I may actually miss the creative drawings I always promptly erased!  Best of luck!!
